In this video, I'll show you how to fix the "Print Spooler Service is not running" error in Windows. If you're facing issues with printing, follow these steps to restart and fix the Print Spooler service.
Windows Cannot connect to the printer, the local print spooler service is not running.
The Print Spooler Service controls print jobs sent to the printer. If it stops functioning, printing won’t work, and the system might fail to detect the printer. Depending on the situation, you might encounter various error messages.
A common cause is that a downloaded ISO file may be blocked by Windows for security reasons. If the ISO is already mounted, that could also trigger the error. In some cases, an inserted MicroSD card might interfere with the mounting process. Additionally, the disk imaging tool requires the ISO file to be marked as Read-Only; otherwise, it might not mount. On older versions of Windows like 7 or 8, a corrupted disk imaging driver can lead to the issue. Lastly, on Windows 10 or Server 2012, the sparse attribute set on the ISO can cause the error to appear.
