Those Chemeleomen enemies can be tricky to deal with in a 2-Player mode, because they can transform into their own White or Black Bombermen. If you don't keep track of them after they've transformed, you may accidently blow up your own partner!

At 3-8, you finally face Dr. Mook in his Crane Hand machine. The machine's extendable claws can hurt you if you touch them, and the machine can also release missiles that can push your bombs away. You can toast the missiles without any additional problems, and the claws won't affect your bombs at all. Just line your bombs up so that their explosions will touch Dr. Mooks machine.
Eventually, Mook's Crane Hand is destroyed. This release many more helpless Bombermen that he locked up, and forces him to retreat to another location on the island.
The White Bomber gives chase!
