TABR23, 10th Place, Alberto Vaghi with less than 100 miles to go in Ashland, VA. Unofficial final time of 25d00h24m.
From my TABR FB page post of 28 Jun 2023 @ 4:29 PM:
Thank you Alberto Vaghi for giving us so much of your time. It was great to visit with you and so happy you’ll be completing your TABR23 journey soon. He started with sleeping 4 hours a night and was putting in almost 200 miles/day for the first week, but after hitting Yellowstone, he said the reality of the task set in. He thinks it would be great to do it as a tourist because he didn’t get to stop and smell the roses. He had only one flat tire that was really just a leaky valve. Had tires and chain replaced in Pueblo. As most riders we meet here in Ashland, he’s going to take it all the way in from here. Bravo AV! Bravo!
