Refining the gutter runs and gutter techniques, dialing back rule of cool and optimizing for time attack time in BeamNG 0.21. This is my fastest run, over 4 seconds faster! I posted my previous time to L00PdeL00P's Discord leaderboard and someone went ahead and defeated it, so I thought I'd come back and really push the limits.
Initial D gutter runs and gutter techniques are so satisfying in BeamNG.drive, and this Myogi touge mod ported from Assetto Corsa by Nisti is my new favorite for time attack racing. Easy to memorize, with a consistently high speed rhythm and at least 2 lanes with occasional shoulders and gutter runoff areas, it's easy to get into a nice flow around this track. It really captures all of the best traits in a Japanese hill pass course, though the challenge of one lane Shomaru, the mixed speed rhythm of Akina, and the switchback low speed rhythm of Irohazaka, the high speed flowing corners of Tsuchisaka, they all stand apart from each other and are worth a download.
The run was done in hood camera as I have more control from that view, and the replay highlights all the wheel lift gutter techniques as best as I can by lowering the orbit camera and shifting it to the inside of the turn.
