Gita Press, Gorakhpur, will be awarded the Gandhi Peace Prize 2021, an official announcement said on Sunday. The jury headed by Prime Minister Modi unanimously decided to select Gita Press as the recipient of the award.
However, the decision has not gone down well with the Congress. Party leader Jairam Ramesh criticized the move, and called the selection of Gita Press for the award a "travesty".
