CBC Vancouver Host Dan Burritt talks to Simon Fraser University lecturer Stewart Prest about the Province's most recent attempt to end the Surrey police force stalemate. Mayor Brenda Locke and a majority of her council want to retain the Surrey RCMP. Meanwhile, the province wants the city to stick to its previous plans to transition to the Surrey Police Service. On Thursday, Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth sent a letter to Locke and council requesting they sign a non-disclosure agreement to view an unredacted version of the province's report. He has also asked them to set a date to vote on the matter.
