The government's OZEV Plug-In Car Grant rules have been changed with the headline news being that buyers of new electric car will now receive a £1,500 discount if the electric car you are buying has a list price of under £32,000. Under the previous scheme, buyers could get a discount of £2,500 on a car priced at £35,000 or under.
But while the news is disappointing - especially if you were about to order – there are still plenty of great car under this new threshold with new models arriving all the time.
