Manifa is a giant oil field development project located off the coast of the northern Arabian Gulf, Saudi Arabia. The 45km long and 18km wide oil field was started in 1957 and was extensively redeveloped in 2006 by Saudi Aramco with an investment of us$ 10 billion. The main goal is to produce oil and gas without damaging the existing ecosystem and without damaging the surrounding fishing commodities.
