2025 Audi SQ5 Finally Unveiled : First Look of the New 2025 Audi SQ5
The Audi Q5 is about to receive a major overhaul, and the next generation is currently going through the last stages of development before it debuts later this year. A prototype of the Q5 was spotted in the icy-cold Scandinavian winter wearing less camouflage than usual and revealing a new grille pattern. The wider singleframe grille features a chain-style pattern that could be applied in certain trims of the new Q5. The holes within the grille look larger even when compared to the recently facelifted Audi Q8, although many of them are blocked for the sake of aerodynamics. A closer look at the front also reveals the elongated shape of the headlights which are slimmer and more aggressive than before. Depending on the region, the Audi SQ5 has had both gasoline and diesel V6s. Some form of electrification is likely to be baked into the next-generation model, especially with the Euro 7 standard looming, so expect a mild-hybrid setup at the very least. Hopefully, the BMW X3 M50i competitor will keep all six cylinders instead of downsizing to a four-pot engine. Whatever the case may be, it seems highly unlikely the power will go down compared to the outgoing model. Compared to the standard Q5, the SQ5 boasts a 0 to 60 time that's over a full 2 seconds quicker. Similarly, the SQ5 is capable of a higher top speed than the standard Q5. We're still waiting on an official release date for the next-generation SQ5, but the aforementioned Audi report says that we can expect it "second half of the year." That being said, there is a chance it will arrive as a 2026 model instead of a 2025.
