I went to America’s so-called “poorest region” of Appalachia expecting to find dilapidated shacks and gun-toting hillbillies but instead found futuristic architecture, fine dining, old money hotels, a vanishing dialect of English that almost doesn’t exist anymore, but most importantly just some incredible people you’re not gonna find anywhere else in the entire world.
