The Global Child Dental Fund (GCDFund) is a UK-based charity whose mission is to ensure that the most disadvantaged children, from the most deprived communities around the world, have access to dental care and do not suffer from obvious dental decay in their lifetime.
Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is an effective preventative treatment in the community setting. Evidence supports the potential of SDF in arresting caries in the primary dentition and permanent first molars. As caries remain a major public health concern globally, we advocate for the use of SDF in the treatment of dental caries especially for children, the elderly and patients with special needs.
Hosted on October 10, 2019, this webinar discussed the public health benefits of using SDF in community dental programmes.
I hope you find this webinar both informative and useful.
