Mutating policies were recently introduced in Tanzu Mission Control, allowing platform teams to take a workload manifest and mutate it to ingest their desired value. So, if someone provides a different value, the platform will make sure that the value is set as soon as the request hits the runtime. This can be done with a security policy or labels and annotations.
