The 90 days of OPT unemployment applies to F1 visa international students pursuing the post completion Optional Practical Training (OPT). During the initial (which could be 12 months or less), F1 visa students must not accrue more than 90 days of unemployment. Otherwise, they will be in violation of their F1 status.
