A drone has struck Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's holiday home in northern Israel, as confirmed by Al Jazeera. This attack set off air raid sirens across the country, including in Tel Aviv. According to Netanyahu's spokesman, one of three drones launched from Lebanon hit his residence in Caesarea, though Netanyahu wasn’t there, and no one was hurt.
The Israeli military intercepted the other two drones, reporting that over 100 rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel, injuring at least 13 people. The Iran-backed group Hezbollah has been exchanging fire with Israel since October of last year.
Haifa, the largest city in northern Israel with a population of 300,000, is a key strategic location and home to Israel’s naval headquarters.
