Its been a long process but we have finally landed the Almond surfboard range. We hunt high and low to find boards that will work for our customers and we're super stoked to get the Almond family on board. These board not only look amazing, the finish is as good as we've ever seen but they surf fantastically well too.
Almond surfboards is a family run business in Costa Mesa California. Everything they do is a considered decision, from the fully Recyclable R Series boards to the current range, thye've designed boards for people who want to get the most out of their surfing.
The @Almond_Surfboards Big Bueno Fish (BBF) does what it says on the tin! It's a big fish with a twist; this beauty offers the added foam and paddling that you get with a classic egg template but with the fluid manoeuverability that comes with a quad set up. This board has a touch more rocker than a typical fish which makes it incredibly loose and responsive. It feels like a big board up front, but turns like a smaller board in the back. The BBF is a great way to increase your wave count but maintain a lively feel to your surfing. There is a decent double concave running through the fins which generates the lift that gives the board glide and then the vee through the tail works with this to improve release into turns. There are a few big fish style boards out there, this is as good as we've seen in the way it balances all the desried factors. Please note the Almond guys don't write dims or volumes on their boards.
