We rode around the Istrian Peninsula from the Italian city of Trieste, through Slovenia, and into Croatia. We mainly followed the Euro Velo 8 route but occasionally hopped on regional Croatian bicycle routes for some pleasant coastal riding. We also cycled the Parenzana Trail, a rail-to-trail that ventures inland through Istria's beautiful hill country.
