Sam Shamoun/Shamounian explains to Christians in Bible study about the prophecy in Malachi 4:1 in the Old Testament, where it says that Elijah will come as a messenger to reveal that the Lord is coming, and when we look at the new Testament, we see that John the Baptist fulfills this role, and Jesus affirmed in matthew 11:14 it by saying that the same spirit of Elijah is in him proclaiming what is said in Malachi 3:1 fulfilling that God has come in the flesh to the temple .
