We went on another short birding adventure out to Turkey Point Provincial Park. The park seems like it’s a huge attraction for Mountain Bike riders, there are a lot of trails in the area. Turkey point mountain biking is clearly a big thing. Our purpose for camping at the park was for birdwatching. We heard many birds and tagged them using eBird but we didn't really get to see many. Turkey point provincial park camping is really nice and the sites are laid out very well. We stayed at site 215 and it was a large private site.
One of the trails we walked posted a notice to be careful in this area because it is loaded with ticks. Taking the proper precautions we continued on our way. On most of these trails you have to realize that they are shared and groups of serious mountain bikers come through. As we hike we do our best to respect those around us and either stay out of the way, or off a trail completely if it seems appropriate to us. From look out bluff trail you can catch a glimpse of Turkey Point beach.
The Wrong side of 40 is continuing to bring us adventure and a chance to see all the natural wildlife that thrives in Ontario. We are explorers so through our experiences and adventures we will be sharing all we see.
