The Circular hiking trail "NORDPFAD Huvenhoopsmoor" is a 14 km long hike through a landscape of contrasts. On one side there are agriculturally used areas, on the other side intact and rewetted high moor areas.

The trail leads through the Gnarrenburger Moor, which is an important habitat for numerous animal species. In spring and fall, the trail is a popular resting place for cranes. When the birds migrate in large flocks over the landscape and trumpet loudly, it is an unforgettable experience.
