This guide covers the main new features that have dropped with the Among the Ancients update. This update was released on steam on October the 28th 2021.

Status monitors : (00:00)
There are 3 new monitors that give better indication of the ships overall health, covering everything from electrical and the hulls to 02 and water. There is also a new search function that will give you the location of items on your submarine.

Health UI : (01:35)
The new health UI gives a better indication of damage to your character, clearer understanding of treatments that can be applied and all of this is in a smaller window so you can see what is going on in the background.

Character skill trees : (02:18)
The new character talent trees provide each class with more unique gameplay, items and bonuses that can turn some characters into a 1 person army. There are unlocks, health, damage and item bonuses all of which are unique to the tree and role you are playing.

Character visuals : (05:54)
All the characters in the game have received a visual update, with more randomization and customization to the facial features, hair, color and decorations. You can now stand out from the rest of the crew with these new features.

Updated Ancient ruins : (07:05)
The new alien ruins have been completely reworked, with a new layout, monsters puzzles and missions. There is so much more to explore, the complexity has been increased and the reward have been added to match. These will defiantly be the go to place for all the good loot.

New items : (08:51)
There are so many new items and features, the whole item system has received it's own update. In addition to the new items that add more firepower, verity and quality of life to the game. Most items can now be upgraded to add additional statistic making them even more powerful.
