In this video I went fly fishing with a gingerbread onesy on! I almost gave up on catching a big brown trout... and I'm glad I didn't! This is day 4 of Fishmas!!

I started out this particular day of fishing by trying to put some numbers of fish in the net, which didn't really work out. I only caught a handful of rainbow trout, none of which were particularly large. I finally gave up and decided I wanted to catch a big will brown trout.

I changed areas and tried to catch a brown trout I had some history with. Turns out the fish was still there but I spooked it before I really got a good opportunity at the fish. At first I was in denial, but eventually reality set in. After giving up totally I worked my way back to the car, and as luck would have it I ran into a totally different fish. This one wasn't quite as large, but it was still a beautiful wild brown trout and one I was thrilled to catch. I took a photo with my Santa hat on and ended my day on a high note!
