Einot Tzukim Dead Sea

At the foot of the cliffs next to the Dead Sea, you will find the magical, refreshing oasis that is Einot Tzukim.

Surrounded by rocky landscapes, Einot Tzukim is a collection of natural pools, filled with cool fresh water that descends from the nearby mountains. It is the largest natural oasis in Israel, and the lowest oasis in the world. It combines history, archeology, nature, and a whole lot of recreation and fun.

Once submerged under the Dead Sea, Einot Tzukim was exposed due to the natural drying up of the salt waters, which has occurred in recent years. What was uncovered as the Dead Sea receded is a truly incredible wonder of nature, unique to the Dead Sea region.

The pools are full of refreshing beautiful water all year round, even at the height of summer in the desert. The green vegetation that springs up around the pools is testimony to the life-giving water found here, in the primeval landscapes of the Dead Sea. Once a flood of salt waters, the area is now a true oasis in the desert, a place to revive and relax in the cool freshwater that is the magical pools of Einot Tzukim.
