As part of our yearly treatment plan, laser resurfacing is done at least every 2-3 months to exfoliate the skin surface cells and stimulate deep collagen production. In this case, we used Fraxel laser because it's an excellent skin resurfacing treatment. It lessens the risk of skin cancer, softens fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin complexion and reduces pore size. This is a fractional non-ablative laser, meaning it just deeply heats the skin without causing scabbing. The result is what looks like a "sun burn" for 3-5 days. Small columns of energy stimulate collagen production and lift sun damage, pigmentation, and dead skin cells. Here we are treating the neck which is an essential area to treat in addition to the face, chest and hands. You can speed up the healing process by adding PRP (platelet-rich plasma) or stem cells such as acell.
