"How to find Big Wild Boar in forest of Dean"- I'm Alex Sally and I made this short film around the cinderford and coleford area. Also includes footage of roe deer and of course wild boar!

I have been spending some time in the fabulous Forest of Dean, with my canon 600d, looking for wild boar and today for the first time managed to get my first look. Very impressive animals. I wanted to share this straight away, So I have edited it straight away and uploaded. I hope you enjoy it. If you do enjoy watching please leave a comment and please subscribe.
I have tried something a bit different (again) with this video by doing the sounds in camera to give it more of a radio feel. I love wildlife programmes on the radio so I wanted this to be a bit like that. I also wanted to include the footage from my walk "as it was" which makes a bit more rough and ready but hopefully gives you a feel of how excited I was to see a boar..VERY!
For those interested in looking , I spent a half dozen good days looking before I saw this, mostly in the Coleford area. Local's are the best tipsters. a couple of facts not in the video
Until very recently, no free-living wild boar (native or introduced) have been present in Britain for the last 300 years
On the 21st October 1998 DEFRA (then known as MAFF) issued a News Release concerning the results of their study on wild boar living free in Britain. The study confirmed the presence of two populations of wild boar living in Britain - The wild boar had returned!
