An adaption of American Chopsuey, Chinese Bhel is a fusion recipe made for Indian taste buds. It’s sweet, spicy, tangy taste makes it a perfect street style chaat snack.
Ingredients:
2 pack Noodles, boiled
4 tbsp Corn Flour
Oil for frying
1 tbsp Oil, stir-frying veggies
½ cup Onion, sliced
1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
½ cup Capsicum, sliced
½ cup Cabbage, shredded
½ cup Carrot, sliced
Salt to taste
1 tsp White Pepper Powder
3 tbsp Schezwan Sauce
2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Green Chillies, chopped
1 cup Mixed Veggies (onion, cabbage, carrot, capsicum or vegetables of your choice)
Spring Onion Greens
Method:
In a bowl add boiled noodles; add corn flour and mix well so as to coat the noodles evenly.
Now in a pan, heat oil and deep fry noodles till they turn golden brown and crispy.
In another pan, heat oil add onions sauté for a couple of minutes.
Add ginger garlic paste and sauté it and add all the other veggies and stir for few minutes.
Once done add salt, white pepper powder and green chillies.
Now turn off the flame, add schezwan sauce, tomato sauce, soy sauce & mix well.
Lastly add spring onion greens and mix well.
Now transfer this mixture into another bowl, add fried noodles, raw mixed veggies of your choice, mix it well and garnish with spring onions.
