Sandeep Chowta says "I mean the entire credit for any films go, I have always said that and I will maintain it, goes to the director. So I think he has every right to choose five or six music directors if he wants. See I believe there are a lot of directors who any which way they make the film. It will be their sensibilities and it'll be them, they can take three different music directors or they can take one music director."

The year was 1998. A low - budget film about the dark underbelly of Mumbai called 'Satya' had captured the country's imagination. The Indian audiences arose to a stunningly new, in-your-face background score. Matters of the Heart is written, composed and produced by Sandeep Chowta. The album is a tribute to all the people, all the events - in love and in sadness - that have triggered the writing process and acted as catalysts in making the music.
