COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) - The Ohio State Medical Board will consider adding three new conditions this year that would allow patients to get medical marijuana.
They are anxiety, autism spectrum disorder and cachexia -- a wasting disease marked by extreme weight loss. Doctors will review the requests before a committee decides whether to make a recommendation to the full board by the end of June.
Petitions submitted to the state in 2019 suggested 22 new qualifying conditions.
Among those that did not meet requirements were depression and insomnia. Being a Bengals or a Browns fan was also rejected as a qualifying condition.
