In the first quarter of 2024, the Northwest Sanderling and Stormpetrel LNG vessels delivered their final cargoes from the Karratha Gas Plant in the north west of Western Australia, to Japan.
The Sanderling shipped the first LNG cargo from the North West Shelf Project in 1989 and transported more than 26 million tonnes of LNG during its 35 years of service.
A water salute from three tugs, heralded their final voyage out of Dampier.
The LNG ships were operated on behalf of the North West Shelf Project.
