No. 22 North Carolina defeated No. 11 Duke and along the way became the first team to beat the Blue Devils in Cameron this year and won the season series with a 45-41 rivalry victory. Much like the first meeting, it was a defensive showdown, with neither team shooting better than 34% from the floor, and both teams forcing 20+ turnovers. Alyssa Ustby, Deja Kelly, and Kennedy Todd-Williams each finished with 9 points to lead the Tar Heels. Ustby grabbed 7 rebounds and 3 steals to round out her performance. For the Blue Devils, Elizabeth Balogun’s 12 points and 5-8 shooting led her team. She also added 5 rebounds.
