This is Dr. Lisa Pruett I'm a board-certified dermatologist at the Center for Aesthetic and Laser Medicine at Trinity dermatology. As we age there are many changes to the area around our eyes and these are laxity and skin fat herniation sometimes hypertrophy of the muscle under the skin in the eyelid area. So at the Center for Aesthetic and Laser Medicine we have two non-surgical options or blepharoplasty.
So these are treatments that are done in the office under local anesthesia either with topical numbing or injectable anesthesia and they are great options if you are not interested in having surgery to treat these areas. Many complaints that my patients come to me about are droopy eyelids or bags under their eyes or they feel like they just look really tired even though they're not so we have great options to help you non surgically treat these concerns. Morpheus8 is a great option for somebody that is noticing skin laxity in their upper and lower eyelids it requires three treatments that we spaced about four to six weeks apart and the results continue to improve for months after the treatment because we are helping you build your collagen and elastin in that area.
Accutite however is another treatment that we do that's better for somebody that might have excess fat herniating and so people that are complaining of you know the bags under their eyes sometimes we will even combine treatments so Accutite and Morpheus ate together to get an even better result.
