Your 6 p.m. Northeast Ohio weather forecast for April 17, 2022: What a stunning Easter Sunday it has been across the area. But oh the tides are changing. Another storm system moves in from the west Monday through Tuesday bringing a healthy dose of moisture with it. Our cold air will still be in place, so we're likely to get some flakes. We're also likely to see accumulating snow from this one.
Expect a mix of rain and wet snow to move in Monday and as the air cools, we'll likely see a changeover to a wet snow. The snow could come down at a moderate to heavy clip at times late morning through mid-afternoon with a quick accumulation possible. Otherwise we'll have on and off wet snow (mixed with rain in spots) through the evening into Monday night.
The low pressure will swirl across the eastern lakes Tuesday bringing renewed snow (mixed with rain in spots) chances with additional light accumulations possible. Otherwise a mix of clouds and sun can be expected with chilly highs both days in the upper 30s to low 40s.
