At EcoCity we can all work together to achieve a better future by helping to create sustainable and open source blueprints for humanity to use as an ever changing model for society.
What we are working on: Here are some of the Core Objectives:
1. Identify core systems (housing, energy, water, food, waste)
2. Create a project management system to collaborate
3. Employ teams of volunteers for each project with clear objectives
4. Research most efficient and optimal technologies
5. Create blueprints and lists of building materials
6. Calculate costs/ unit or person
7. Crowd fund this (kickstarter)
8. Establish online secure voting system
9. share and market the plan to the world through open source blueprints
10. expand awareness via a movie, book, ecotourism, and affordable housing systems
When - Timeline:
• full plan, budget, and blueprints by jan 1st 2013
• small model demonstrating technology by feb 1st 2013 (California)
• fundraising completion by march 1st 2013
• land selection and construction by april 1st 2013
• completion by aug 1st 2013
• publishing of open source blueprints for all (sept 1st 2013)
