Lacock is the textbook example of an English village, and is used as a filming location for many well-known films and TV shows like Downton Abbey and Cranford! This video features clips from the Jane Austen Society of North America (JASNA) spring tour of England. We explored places that played an important role in Jane Austen’s life and her novels. Lacock Village was the location for 'Meryton' in the 1995 Pride & Prejudice and 'Highbury' in the 1996 Emma. We explored Lacock Abbey, which was used as a filming location for the Harry Potter films...can you guess which ones? Join us as we explore this beautiful English village!
