Costco Foods We Avoided During This Grocery Trip
As we walked past the bakery section, I asked Jess if she wanted some chocolate cake. She said she didn’t want it because it looked too dangerous.
The fresh baked pumpkin pie also looked good. Even though the first ingredient listed was pumpkin, the second ingredient was sugar.
That’s a pass, especially since I have this easy and delicious healthy paleo pumpkin recipe, that we can make ourself.
I was also disappointed to see Costco only had farmed salmon, rather than wild salmon. That’s another pass.
My favorite kind of red wine is pinot noir. Based on this, my friend, who is a wine connoisseur, recommended I try the Meiomi Pinot Noir. Therefore, I was excited to see Costco had it in stock for $15.95.
I also picked up a bottle of Greg Norman Estates Pinot Noir, just because it’s Greg Norman. You have to support your fellow golfers.
Healthy Costco Grocery Shopping Haul To Build Muscle And Burn Fat
Here is all the food we bought during our Costco grocery haul to build muscle and burn fat:
► Seasoned tri-tip beef
Whenever we come to Costco we always get the seasoned tri-tip for our slow cooker meals.
► Ground turkey
4 pack in bulk
► 48 Organic eggs
2 x 24 pack
► Sweet tango apples
I’ve never had these before, however I’m assuming it’s a flavor mixture of tango and apple
► Coconut water
I drink coconut water during and after a tough and sweaty stairs sprint workout
► Cauliflower
► Brussels Sprouts
Brussels for the muscles
► Unsweetened almond milk
I add this to my smoothies
► Onions
We buy a big bag because onions make any food taste better
► Organic chicken and apple sausages
► Avocados
These are one of my favorite foods
► Organic ground beef
► Pickles
I find pickles adds good flavor to salads or any other bland meal
► Big bag flaxseed meal
► Huge container of Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb Salt-Free seasoning blend
► Broccoli
► Pumpkin seeds
We add these to salads for a healthy source of fats
► Spinach
We love adding spinach to salads, omelettes, power smoothies
► Peanut butter
► Almond butter
► Chia seeds
► Hemp seeds
► Canned tuna
When needed, tuna is a good quick source of protein
► Organic frozen blueberries
► Organic frozen cherries
► Fresh blueberries
► Organic virgin coconut oil
► Organic extra virgin olive oil
► Organic chicken
► Bananas
