Decreased overall height vs my other system (Below) allows the low floor to be maintained without the need for one wheel arch to be substantially wider than the other. This allows a true low floor single deck bus, where the other system is only really suitable for double deck where the larger wheel arch can be under the stairs.
However this system has a lower reliability than the other.
