Bergen Student-TV interviews Silas Graae of Mew.
Huge thanks to Jeanette18dk for the translation!
Voice-over: Mew's new album No more stories has only achieved good reviews. The band has been touring since June and will finish their tour in February 2010.
And when the band is away from home so often, there are certain things the Danes miss a great deal.
Silas: Home, I think, it's like the usual...home that you've got, which means a lot when you are as rootless, when you are out as much as we are, then it's like the smallest thing from home counts, maybe it's something like, your favourite chair, or something, your good paintbrush, or what else can it be, it can be anything.
Voice-over: With a full concert program it's - according to Silas - extra important to be focused onstage.
Silas: It's like you have to be ready to give yourself 100% when youre on. I'm probably I concentrate most of the time. Hopefully. I think that there isn't really space to think about other things onstage. It's like, there are so many things to be focused on, what's happening and stuff like that, and the connection to the others.
Interviewer: Do you get nervous before the concerts?
Silas: Mhh, I'm excited, not nervous.
