The Bharatiya Janata Party and Hindutva organisations have taken out an ‘aakrosh rally’ [anger rally] in Alwar, Rajasthan, to protest the demolition of three temples and shops during an anti-encroachment drive in Rajgarh.
The three temples and 86 shops and homes were demolished last week in Rajasthan's Alwar district, with officials describing the action as part of an anti-encroachment drive to widen a road in Rajgarh town. A 300-year-old Shiva temple was among the temples demolished.
