This video basically contains the various reactor design for carrying out the Flow Chemistry and application of Flow Chemistry. Micro-reactors are small continuous flow reactors usually made from glass, combining excellent mixing & channels for reaction with excellent temperature control.
In Flow Chemistry equipment, reaction mixture fed into a column reactor having solid reagents, catalysts or scavengers. An in-line back-pressure regulator controls the system, pressure & inline analysis provides information about reaction performance. Also, in situ FTIR spectroscopy provides real-time feedback to proactively improve reaction. viz., in situ FTIR spectroscopy data can be used to mitigate the effect of imperfect flow & control reagent addition rate for better mixing profile.
