Uploaded today because I forgot to upload on Sunday.

Here is a journey on board Stagecoach South East Alexander Dennis Scania N230UD Enviro400 15442 (KX08KZN) on a Route 71 service on Wednesday 7th February 2024, recorded between Folkestone Bus Station and Woodfield Close.

15442 (KX08KZN) was new to Stagecoach Oxfordshire in Spring 2008, operating Route S5 between Oxford and Bicester, transferring to Stagecoach East Kent in January 2012 due to increased services on Folkestone’s longer-distance services, particularly routes 100/101/102 which ran from Dover to Hastings, which evidently saw an increase in number of school services from The Marsh Academy at the time. In December 2016 the bus transferred to Ashford Garage, but transferred to Dover in 2017 where it has remained since. Since November 2018 the bus was painted in a special livery for the Royal British Legion, but in Summer 2023 it was repainted to Stagecoach Local livery, in time for the cascade of Folkestone garage’s routes into Dover.

Due to interworkings with Route 16, Route 71 is allocated with Alexander Dennis E40D Enviro400 MMC’s (23/73 reg variants), but older E40D’s and Scania Enviro400’s continue to appear on both routes regularly.
