Procedures are as follows.
The bride and groom walk to the Buddha shelf from back of the room, facing stage, with the bride on left hand side.
They then light the two candles starting with the one on the left hand side first. After that, they will light the three incense sticks in between the candles also starting from the left and bow to the Buddha three times.
The couple walk to the stage with bride going first. They stand behind the podium, pay respect to the guests and sit down.
The host of the wedding and his wife walk to the stage and wear wedding garlands to the couple. Then he puts holy threads on both bride and groom's heads simultaneously. This is a very crucial step as the threads must not fall or be dropped at all. Follow by him anointing their foreheads.
The watering conch or "rod nam sang" begins. The chairman and his wife use the conch to water on couple's hands with palms together in salute position. Then the parents of bride and groom, other family members, friends and all the guests do the same.
The formal ceremony ends with pictures with guests standing behind bride and groom.
