While early results appeared to show Turkish voters had decided to stick with Recep Tayyip Erdogan by a comfortable margin, the latest numbers are telling a different story with the possibility of a presidential runoff later this month.
With almost 95 per cent of the ballot boxes counted as of about midnight local time, Erdogan was leading opposition leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu by about four to five points but neither competitor was sitting at the needed 50 per cent to be elected.
