Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machines knit whatever the textile world desires, such as fabrics to sleep on – mattress covers – or to wear – sportswear, outerwear and underwear. Home textiles and technical fabrics can also be Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machine products. We have a portfolio of around 50 machines and each machine is a one-off, made to meet our customers’ requirements.
Our company has been a family firm since 1905, now in the fourth generation. With over 300 patents we are the world market leader in circular knitting machine technology. And the award we received again this year as one of Germany’s most innovative SMEs proves that we have no time for standing still.
Our machines, made at our main factory in Albstadt, are in action all over the world, especially in Asia, America and Africa. Our export quota is about 99 per cent. Local agents represent us in around 80 countries. We have subsidiaries in Czechia and China.
