Stow Maries is a little known airfield in Essex, England which was used to defend London from WW1 bombing.
Zeppelins and giant bomber bi-planes were flown at night to do bombing raids on London during the Great War using Essex rivers and railway lines to help navigate their way to London.
A brilliant museum which will get bigger and better as more of it's buildings are restored to their former glory after being used for farming since the Great War.
It has recently been reclaimed and turned into a working aerodrome and museum in the middle of the Essex countryside.
