Sound comparison of my fav impulse response cab sims from GGD (Cali Oversized / Zilla), Bogren Digital (Rainbows & Chainsaws) and ML Sound Lab (Mega Oversize/Traditional/Djent). The cabinet very often is an underrated part of the signal chain and in my opinion the key to a great guitar sound. After trying out allot of different impulse response solutions over the last decade these are the ones I like and use the most. Today we compare some of the sounds from these IR packs by putting them on the guitar tracks in one of my songs.
Which sounds from these impulse responses packs do you like most? Have you tried some of the cab sims from ML Sound Lab, GGD, Bogren Digital or any other software manufacturer yourself and have a favorite already? Looking forward to hear your thoughts and what experience you made.
I hope you enjoyed my quick comparison of my favorite impulse response cab packs from Bogren Digital, GGD and ML Sound Lab.
