It’s time to celebrate the books you love in your family. Today, on or around Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, is known around the world as International Children's Book Day (ICBD). It is a day to celebrate and inspire a love of reading and to call attention to children's books.
That is exactly what some students in the Teacher Education Program at JATC South are doing during the school dismissal. They are getting creative and finding ways to keep in touch with their practicum students in some Jordan District elementary schools. The Teacher Education students are reading to children currently out of the classroom via home videos they are making.
We are proud of our Teacher Education students finding ways to stay connected and keep children reading during school dismissal.
