As some people may remember, The old KLR came with a broken Supertrap... that muffler blew out the "trap" somewhere on US-36 one morning on my way to work. So I bought the LEXX muffler from Rocky Mountain ATV. I then found that the manufacturer recomended repacking interval is 26 hours... My daily comute is about 1 hour one way, so that would mean every 13 days I should have been repacking it. Even with the reasonably priced repacking materials from RMATV, that was asking too much. So I let it go until WAY past due (like all last season/8 months) and decided that I should try out something that should last longer than just fiberglass. That's why I tried out the MUFF PACK kit on Amazon, it contains a stainless steel screen, then a stainless steel layer, followed by the fiberglass. I bought the 19" kit because I wasn't sure, but the inner pipe is only 14" long, so the 15" kit I have linked below should be perfect (might not even need to cut it)
Anyway, I've never done this before, and this video probably shows that. Please wear gloves if you do this, my hands were itchy for a couple days after and I have small cuts all over my palms.
