HOW ART PROTECTS AGAINST CORONA
How do you reach thousands of people every day and educate them quickly and in depth about COVID? For Togolese painter and graffiti artist Folly Eli Trez, the answer was quickly found: All he needs is his team and lots of spray cans. Since then, he has been conjuring up huge graffiti on all kinds of walls in Lomé to make passers-by – especially children and people who otherwise have little access to information – aware of the infectious disease and the necessary safety precautions.

Created in West Africa during the project RIGHTON! in 2020, initiated by WELTFILME, YMCA Ghana, SLADEA (Sierra Leone), NAEAL (Liberia), The University of The Gambia, Cinéma Numérique Ambulant Togo and Xchange Perspectives with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and Bread for the World.
