You don't need us to tell you that it's been a rough time for the movie business for the last year-and-a-half. Since a global pandemic started shutting down the world in spring 2020, movie theaters have been some of the last places people have wanted to (or been able to) congregate, and that's had massive implications for how big-budget, blockbuster-style movies are being released.

It's also having devastating effects on the box office returns for those movies, the latest victim of which appears to be James Gunn's "The Suicide Squad."

But the disappointing box office results for "The Suicide's Squad's" opening weekend weren't caused by just one thing. These are all the reasons why "The Suicide Squad" bombed at the box office.
