An engine with 603 handcrafted horses plus an electric boost make you feel like king of the road. The commanding presence of SUV capability and bold coupe style say king of the hill with technology that leads the automotive kingdom into a new era. It's one of the quickest mid-size high-performance SUVs testing around 3.4 seconds in it's 0-60 sprint. The AMG coupe is also equipped with its 48-volt Active Ride Control anti-roll system, adaptive dampers, and 22-inch wheels on the more powerful S model here. It's distinguished from the other GLE models by flared fenders, an aggressive rear diffuser, and AMG GLE63 S emblems.

Handcrafted AMG 4.0L V8 biturbo engine with EQ Boost
The acclaimed AMG biturbo V8 propels performance into a new era again. Generating 603 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque from a modest 4.0 liters, it can rush to 60 in 3.7 seconds and deliver swift response at any speed. Its "hot inside V" turbo location cuts lag and losses. A new Integrated Starter-Generator can efficiently add gas-free torque. AMG Cylinder Management can seamlessly deactivate four cylinders. Yet even with its advancements, each V8 is still hand-built and signed by its own craftsman.
Dynamic engine mounts
Computer-controlled dynamic engine mounts further elevate performance. They're filled with magnetorheological fluid that can be stiffened progressively via electrical current. By individually optimizing their support, they can maximize handling precision in extreme driving, yet deliver smooth refinement in normal driving.
EQ Boost Integrated Starter-Generator
Electrifying the gasoline V8 is an innovative Integrated Starter-Generator. It teams with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery, plus a power supply for electrical components and the advanced suspension, and can add 21 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque for a burst of acceleration in key situations. It also supports energy recuperation from braking, allows efficient "gliding," and helps make the ECO Start/Stop operate even more seamlessly.
ECO Start/Stop system
An ECO Start/Stop system automatically shuts off the engine at stoplights and other idle situations, to help save fuel and reduce emissions. As soon as the driver lifts off the brake, the engine instantly restarts, for quick acceleration response. The ECO Start/Stop system can also be shut off by the driver at any time.
