Hello everyone, my name is Rayene Bouzitoun. I’m a member of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Youth Council, which is an advisory council that makes recommendations on various Canadians policies.
The G7 obviously brings together the seven major world powers, but I think it would be interesting if we opened our doors a little to hear from a few more countries, a few more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, to be sure that future technologies and all of the issues being addressed at these meetings can benefit everyone.
And therefore there’s no disconnect or speed in how we address these problems. And that we truly address the evolution within our school curriculum to ensure that young people can easily enter the labour market.
I would like to thank the Canadian government for holding this G7 and its Presidency with such leadership. It’s really, really relevant as a young person to be able to take part and to learn directly from these structures and so I thank you.
